Do I really need a stroller?

strollers are so expensive and I keep telling my mom that I dont want one yet, that when the baby gets older I’ll get one then. She insists that I get a travel system.
I can’t imagine using one until later, cause when she’s a baby I plan to use the infant seat as a carrier and I also already ordered a ‘mei tai’ style carrier (the fabric kind that wraps around your body)…. WHEN she gets too heavy I’d take her to the store and look at different strollers and pick one that she seems comfortable in!
She says, well youre not going to carry her around walmart with you while you shop are you? and I say how the heck am I supposed to push a buggy and a stroller at the same time?!? it doesnt make sense. My husband and I never go anywhere together (shopping, etc) so it’ll always just be one of us with her (other than at home))
Do YOU feel like YOU needed your stroller before baby was, say… 6 – 8 months?
